State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam and State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel Thursday launched the official website of the D-8 Youth Ministerial Meeting, Senior Officials' Meeting and the Youth Conference 2023, scheduled to take place in Dhaka from May 15-18 this year.
At the event, Shahriar emphasized the youth's participation in the decision-making process and the importance of using their potential to address pressing global issues.
On the margin of the ministerial meeting and the senior official meeting, hundreds of youth delegates from the D-8 member states will join in four thematic parallel sessions of the youth conference.
Bangladesh is hosting the meetings as the current chair of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, an organization set up in 1997 to strengthen economic cooperation among the eight developing Muslim countries.
