FM Momen: Jaishankar might come up with good news

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Tuesday said that his Indian counterpart Dr S Jaishankar might bring good news as he is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Thursday.

“This is good news that he’s coming. Maybe he’ll bring good news and we’re yet to know what that news is exactly,” he told reporters at his ministry.

Jaishankar’s visit was confirmed by India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Monday.

Dr Momen said that the relationship between Bangladesh and India was very sweet. “We always welcome him. He’ll give us a surprise.”
