Bangladeshi expat killed in Qatar road accident

A Bangladeshi expatriate living in Qatar was killed in a road accident in the Middle East country early on Wednesday.

The deceased, 31-year-old Mohibuzzaman Munna, hailed from Barlekha upazila of Moulvibazar, where his wife, son and parents currently live.

The family said Munna had been working as a delivery man for a five-star hotel in Qatar for the last five years.

While on duty on Wednesday morning, he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed onto the road, they said, quoting witnesses.

Locals then rushed Munna to a nearby hospital, where the doctor on duty pronounced him dead.

“Munna suffered a cardiac arrest while riding the motorcycle,” said a fellow Bangladeshi expatriate, citing the doctor.

The body would be sent to Bangladesh soon, added Anwar Hossain Saju.
