Modi invites PM to watch India-Bangladesh test match in Kolkata

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to watch the first day of the 5 day-long test match between India and Bangladesh in Kolkata of India.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said this at a press conference at the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

The test match will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 22. India's Home Minister Amit Shah and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee are expected to be present at the event.

The minister said: "The prime minister will leave for Kolkata on November 22 to watch the match between India and the Tigers [Bangladesh Cricket Team]. The prime minister is going to India for just one day, therefore, she will return to Dhaka the same night."

Earlier, Sourav Ganguly, president of the India's cricket board, invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to watch the match.
