State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque has said a secretary level meeting is set to happen between Bangladesh and India in August.
It is expected to reach to a solution on Teesta after the meeting, said the state minister while visiting Teesta barrage on Saturday.
He said: "All rivers and canals across Bangladesh need to be excavated according to the Delta Plan 2100."

Earlier, the state minister exchanged views with the officials of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) at the board’s rest house at Dalia point to discuss issues regarding Teesta.
Additional Secretary of the Water Resources Ministry Mahmudul Islam, Director General of BWDB Mahfujur Rahman, Chief Engineer of BWDB’s Rangpur zone Joyti Prasad Ghosh, Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari Hafizur Rahman, and senior officials were also present.
