State minister in Malaysia to promote Bangladeshi labour

State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed is currently in Malaysia on an official trip with a goal of increasing the number of Bangladeshi’s in the Malaysian labour market.

He will hold a meeting with Malaysian Human Resources Minister M Kulasegaran on Tuesday, said a Sunday press release.

Imran Ahmed will visit Sarawak State on May 15 and will meet the state governor on May 16.

The minister was scheduled for a views-exchange meeting with Bangladeshi expatriates in Malaysia on Sunday. 

He will visit the Bangladeshi High Commission in Malaysia on Monday.

Additional Secretary of the Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry, Dr Ahmed Munirus Salehin, and Deputy Secretary Abul Hossain, are accompanying the minister on his Malaysia trip.

The state minister is expected to return home on May 17.
