A red carpet was rolled out for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she arrived in Brunei on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on Sunday.
Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah received the Bangladesh prime minister when a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying her and her entourage landed at Brunei International Airport in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, at 2.35 pm local time, reports UNB.
A contingent of the Royal Guard gave a guard of honour to the prime minister.

Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Mahmud Hussain was present at the time.
After the official welcome event, a ceremonial motorcade escorted the prime minister to Empire Hotel and Country Club, where she is staying.
A total six MoUs will be signed by the two countries during the prime minister’s visit, to strengthen cooperation in the areas of agriculture, art and culture, youth and sports, fisheries, livestock and energy, while another MoU is yet to be finalized.
Later on Sunday, Sheikh Hasina will attend a community event and dinner to be hosted by the high commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei at the Empire Hotel.
