Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Tripura organised a programme at Agartala to observe the Independence Day of Bangladesh on Sunday.
Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain, assistant high commissioner of Bangladesh, inaugurated the programme early morning by hoisting the national flag of Bangladesh while the national anthem "Amar Sonar Bangla" played.

The assistant high commissioner ended the programme after conveying Bangladesh’s prime minister and president’s messages to the audience.
To commemorate the day, a cultural programme was also organised at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhaban in Agartala.
