The fourth biennial bilateral political consultations between the foreign ministries of Switzerland and Bangladesh will be held in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The Swiss delegation arrived in Dhaka on Sunday to for a four-day visit.
Ambassador Raphael Nägeli, assistant state secretary for Asia-Pacific of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, and Ambassador Kamrul Ahsan, secretary (Bilateral and Consular) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, will lead the respective delegations.
Strengthening bilateral relations in the areas of economy, development cooperation and humanitarian aid will be high on the agenda during the discussions.
The Swiss delegation, which also includes Ambassador Thomas Gass, assistant director general of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC, will visit Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar for first-hand impression about the humanitarian crisis.
They will also meet with the representatives of the civil society and business, diplomatic community, international organizations and NGOs during the visit.
