PM set to leave Munich for Abu Dhabi Saturday night

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to leave Germany for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday night, to attend the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX-2019) to be held in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

The prime minister is scheduled to depart Munich International Airport for Abu Dhabi on an Etihad Airlines flight at 9:40pm, local time, (BST 2:40am on Sunday).

Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany Imtiaz Ahmed will see her off at the airport.

The aircraft carrying the prime minister is scheduled to reach Abu Dhabi International Airport at 6:45am, local time, (BST 8:45am) on Sunday, where she will be received by Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Mohammad Imran.

During her stay in the UAE, two MoUs on investment are likely to be signed with the private office of Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum.

Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) will sign an MoU for the development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, power plant, and any other project of mutual interest.

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) will sign the second MoU, for the set up of a special economic zone on 300 acres of land in Matarbari.

Sheikh Hasina will attend the opening session of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX-2019) at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) at 10am on Sunday.

She is also set to hold a meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.

Furthermore, the prime minister will hold bilateral meetings with Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Later, she will attend a dinner to be hosted by the Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE.

On Monday afternoon, the prime minister will take audience with Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, wife of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and inaugural president of the UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi, at Al Bahar Palace.

Later, she will attend a community event at the ball room of the St Regis Abu Dhabi.

On Wednesday, the prime minister will fly from Abu Dhabi International Airport for Dhaka on a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. 

Ambassador to the UAE Mohammad Imran will see her off at the airport.

The Prime Minister will arrive in Dhaka at 7am the same day.

Earlier on Thursday morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka for Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference (MSC) 2019.
