Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) reportedly picked up a Bangladeshi youth from the Adatola border area ofthe Sapahar upazila in Naogaon on Saturday.
Nayek Subedar Zahangir Hossain, company commander of the Adatola camp of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) said, Zakirul Islam, 18, an HSC candidate of the Uttarpatari village entered the Indian territory near border pillar no244 in the afternoon to buy medicine when he was picked up by the force.
Meanwhile, the BGB sent a letter to BSF for a flag meeting to return the young man immediately.
However, no response was received from BSF camp till 7pm Saturday, he added.
