The chiefs of the United Nations, World Bank, and UNHCR, who are currently visiting Bangladesh, have met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi tweeted about the meeting around 12:45pm on Sunday.
Grandi was accompanied by World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres, and Executive Director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) Natalia Kanem at the meeting.
In the tweet, Filippo Grandi said: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reaffirms that Bangladesh, in spite of many challenges, remains hospitable to Rohingya refugees. Visiting UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim pledge more support for refugees and communities hosting them.”

Hoping to draw the attention of the international community on the Rohingya crisis, and to raise funds for humanitarian response as a result, Dhaka is hosting five foreign dignitaries this week.
The dignitaries are Guterres, Jim Yong Kim, Filippo Grandi, Natalia Kanem, and President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer.
The visit comes at a time when the international community is looking for options beyond bilateral mechanisms to resolve the Rohingya crisis.
