Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi have held talks at the Prime Minister's Office in the capital.
The tete-a-tete prior to official talks began around 4:20pm Saturday.
Vikas Swarup, official spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, India, tweeted around 5pm: “Tete a tete between PM @narendramodi & PM Sheikh Hasina in the restricted format before delegation level talks.”
Earlier in the day, the premiers exchanged the documents on on ratification of Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) in presence of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Modi will also attend a state banquet where he will be served vegetarian dishes.
He is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the evening.
The aircraft carrying the Indian premier and the members of his entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:14am Saturday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received Modi at the airport. He set to leave Dhaka for Delhi on Sunday.
