Robi, ERF and British Council train journalists for future-ready skills

As the media landscape continues to evolve rapidly, a professional development initiative aimed at strengthening the skills of economic journalists concluded in Dhaka on Sunday, emphasizing language proficiency, communication and adaptation to emerging industry trends.

The program, jointly organized by Robi, the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) and the British Council Bangladesh, sought to enhance journalists' professional capabilities through practical training in English-language proficiency and communication skills and their application in journalism.

The closing ceremony was held at the British Council auditorium on Fuller Road in Dhaka, where participating journalists received certificates upon successfully completing the program.

Speaking at the event, Stephen Forbes, country director of British Council Bangladesh, said: “We are proud to support journalists - frontline defenders of economic transparency—to help build a solid platform for Bangladesh’s global voice. Alongside our partner Robi, who has come to us with empowering ideas, we are investing in people to strengthen media professionals, consequently strengthening our entire economic ecosystem.”
