Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), an anti-corruption watchdog, on Monday recognized six young talents for their outstanding contributions to its cartoon and comic strip competition.
The event aimed to inspire the nation’s youth with creative anti-corruption messages through visual storytelling.
Dr Iftekharuzzaman, executive director of TIB, announced the winners of the 19th Anti-Corruption Cartoon Competition during a ceremony held at TIB’s Dhanmondi office.
He also inaugurated the exhibition showcasing the participants' artwork.
Each winner received a certificate, crest, and cash prize during the event.

- Shoyaeb Ahamed (Naogaon Government College) – first place
- Mahin Mehjabin Mohar (BIAM Laboratory School and College) – second place
- Ahnaf Tahmid (Rangpur Cadet College) – third place

In his welcome speech, Dr Iftekharuzzaman praised the winners and attendees, emphasizing the critical role of youth in combating corruption.
“Fighting corruption requires more than laws, accountability, and institutional capacity. Public engagement, especially the innovative spirit, awareness, and protest of the youth, is essential. Cartoons are a powerful medium for such protests,” he said.
Acclaimed cartoonists Ahsan Habib and Mehedi Haque who served as competition judges, were also present.
