Special educational institution Proyash, run under the patronization of Bangladesh Army, on Monday celebrated its founding anniversary and successful completion of a decade.
Proyash’s Patron Dilshad Nahar Aziz was the chief guest at the flamboyant program held at the Proyash Hall in Dhaka Cantonment. She was given a warm reception by the students of the institution.
She had inaugurated the ceremony by cutting a cake along with the children. Dilshad also unveiled a special publication, titled “Swapna Amar Akash Chhuye Jay,” published on the occasion of the institution’s decade-old journey.
Wednesday’s program, which also included cultural performances of Proyash’s students, was attended by family members of the children and top army officials.
The special school, then named Sena Sahayok School, was established by Bangladesh Army on July 18, 2006, with just 17 students and three teachers. The name was changed to Proyash in April 2010.
