The British Council has organized a pre-departure briefing for departing Commonwealth scholarship holders and fellows for 2018-19 at its auditorium.
The program was arranged on behalf of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK on Thursday.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan inaugurated the program.
Head of Higher Education and Regional Manager of South Asia Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) Md Towhidur Rahman conducted the briefing.
The briefing was attended by 60 scholarship holders and fellows from around the country, including 10 Commonwealth alumni.
The scholarship holders were presented with a range of useful information pertaining to issues of visa, accommodation, medical facilities, food, and more during the briefing.
The British Council and the UGC in Bangladesh have been supporting the CSFP in coordination with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) under the CSC UK.
