Kanakchapa, Baby Naznin collect BNP nomination forms for reserved women’s seats

Popular singers Kanakchapa and Baby Naznin have collected nomination forms from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) for reserved women’s seats in the 13th National Parliament.

They collected the nomination forms from party’s Nayapaltan central office on Saturday.

According to sources, Kanakchapa collected nomination form for the Sirajganj-1 (Kazipur) constituency, while Baby Naznin has taken a nomination form for the Nilphamari-4 (Syedpur and Kishoreganj) seat and is expected to submit it on Sunday.

Reacting to the development, Kanakchapa expressed optimism about securing the nomination, saying she has long been dedicated to party activities.

Baby Naznin said she aspires to become a Member of Parliament to contribute to shaping a more skilled and educated new generation. 

She also stated that she has remained loyal to the party for nearly four decades.

Meanwhile, it has been learned that singer Rizia Parveen has also collected a nomination form, though further details regarding her submission have not yet been disclosed.
