BNP candidates are leading in all seven constituencies of Bogra district, while party Chairperson Tarique Rahman has won in Bogra-6 (Sadar), according to unofficial results received from the returning officer’s office on Thursday.
In Bogra-6, comprising 21 wards of Bogra municipality and Sadar upazila, there are 150 centers in total. Results from 27 centers show Tarique Rahman, contesting with the Sheaf of Paddy symbol, securing 38,428 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Abidur Rahman (Scale), has received 17,428 votes.
In Bogra-1 (Sariakandi and Sonatala upazilas), which has 126 centers, results from 16 centers show BNP’s Kazi Rafiqul Islam (Sheaf of Paddy) leading with 23,703 votes, while Jamaat’s Md Shahabuddin (Scale) has received 9,424 votes.
In Bogra-2 (Shibganj), out of 114 centers, results from five centers show BNP candidate Mir Shahe Alam (Sheaf of Paddy) leading with 5,290 votes. Jamaat’s Abul Azad Mohammad Shahaduzzaman (Scale) has received 2,850 votes.
In Bogra-3 (Dupchanchia and Adamdighi upazilas), which has 118 centers, results from eight centers show BNP’s Abdul Mohit Talukdar (Sheaf of Paddy) leading with 8,352 votes. Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nur Mohammad Abu Taher (Scale) has received 7,800 votes.
In Bogra-4 (Kahaloo and Nandigram), of 114 centers, results from 26 centers show BNP’s Mosharraf Hossain (Sheaf of Paddy) receiving 33,181 votes, while Jamaat-e-Islami’s Mostafa Faisal (Scale) has secured 23,559 votes.
In Bogra-5 (Sherpur and Dhunat), which has 188 centers, results from five centers show BNP’s Golam Mohammad Siraj (Sheaf of Paddy) leading with 6,461 votes. Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dabibur Rahman (Scale) has received 3,899 votes.
In Bogra-7 (Gabtali and Shahjahanpur), out of 173 centers, results from 59 centers show BNP’s Morshed Milton (Sheaf of Paddy) receiving 87,569 votes, while Jamaat-e-Islami’s Golam Rabbani (Scale) has received 30,970 votes.
