How to know voter number, polling station information

The Election Commission has introduced four methods to help voters easily access their voter number and polling station details ahead of the upcoming referendum and 13th national parliamentary election.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued on Saturday.

Smart Election Management BD app

Voters can access their voter number and polling station information through the Smart Election Management BD app. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

After installation, users need to select “13th National Parliament Election” from the dashboard and click on the “Find Polling Station” option. By entering their NID number and date of birth, voters can view their voter number, serial number, polling station name and address.

Hotline 105

Voters can also obtain the information by calling the EC hotline at 105. After dialing, callers need to press 9 to speak to an operator.

To receive the details, voters must provide their NID number and date of birth. The hotline service is available daily from 6am to 12am.

SMS to 105

To get the information via SMS, voters need to go to the message option on their mobile phone, type “PC” followed by a space and their NID number, and send it to 105.

The voter number and polling station details will be sent in a return SMS.

Election Commission website

Voters can also access the information through the Election Commission website at ecs.gov.bd. After entering the website from any browser, users need to click on the “Polling Station” menu to use the search option.

Polling stations can be searched in two ways. Voters can either select their constituency and upazila or police station to view a list of centres, or search directly by entering their NID number and date of birth to obtain their voter number and polling station details.

The website also allows users to view polling station locations on Google Maps, where they can check the distance and directions to the centre.
