Women voters 62.8 million in JS polls

A total of 62,885,525 women voters will be eligible to cast their ballots in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum scheduled for February 12, as the overall number of voters are 127,711,899 across the country.

Among the total, the remaining 64,825,154 are male voters, and 1,220 belong to the transgender community, according to the Election Commission (EC).

Among the 300 constituencies, the lowest number of voters is in Jhalakathi-1 with 228,431 voters, while the highest number of voters is in Gazipur-2 with 804,333 voters.

Around 800,000 officials will be deployed to perform election duties. Besides, nearly 900,000 members of law enforcement agencies will perform security responsibilities during the JS election and referendum.
