Nagorik Oikya, led by Mahmudur Rahman Manna, has received registration as a political party from the Election Commission.
The party has been allocated the symbol "Kettle," and its registration number is 52.
“In accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIA of the Representation of the People Order, 1972, the Bangladesh Election Commission has registered the political party "Nagorik Oikya" at the main office located at 22/1, Topkhana Road, Dhaka-1000, until further notice,” reads a notification of Election Commission on Monday.
Earlier, Gono Odhikar Parishad, led by former Ducsu vice president Nurul Haque Nur, received registration as a political party from the Election Commission on Monday.
The party has been assigned the truck symbol, and its registration number is 51.
