Law enforcers have arrested three people, including a presiding officer, for irregularities at a polling station in Gafargaon under Mymensingh-10 constituency.
The arrestees are Presiding Officer Ilias Uddin, Assistant Presiding Officer Md Nurul Haque and an agent of the Boat symbol, Abul Kalam Azad.
They were caught while stuffing ballots in public at the Madinatul-ul-Alhaz Akbar Hossain Qawmi Madrasa polling centre around 10:30am.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Shafiqul Islam confirmed the arrests.
Executive Magistrate Mohammad Al Imran said the steps were taken on the order of the UNO for carrying out illegal activities inside the polling centre.
On the other hand, two independent candidates withdrew from the race alleging that their agents were driven out from polling centres.
