Bus set on fire in Chittagong

Miscreants have set fire to a bus hired by police for election purposes in Chittagong on Saturday evening.

The bus, parked in front of a polling centre in the Char Rangamatia area under Chandgaon police station, was set on fire around 6:30pm.

On information, two units of fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control in 30 minutes. 

Bahar Uddin, senior station officer of Kalurghat Fire Service, said: "Some people have set fire to a bus hired by police. The bus carried election equipment to the centre.”

The 12th national polls is scheduled to be held on Sunday.
