Authorities will start sending ballot papers for the 12th national election to returning officers on Monday.
Thirteen districts – Panchagarh, Gaibandha, Meherpur, Kushtia, Magura, Rangamati, Joypurhat, Chapainawabganj, Jhalakathi, Bhola, Barguna, Patuakhali and Netrokona – will get ballot papers, postal ballot papers and necessary forms, and stamp pads on the first day.
The rest of the districts will receive their ballot papers in phases.
Ashok Kumar Debnath, additional secretary of the Election Commission earlier this month said the printing of ballot papers started on December 19, one day after the allocation of electoral symbols to the candidates.
He also said ballot papers for the constituencies where cases over candidacy were pending – more than 40 – would be printed later.
