After being nominated as an Awami League candidate for the 12th upcoming national parliamentary polls, Dhallywood actor Ferdous Ahmed has announced that he will be more engaged in election activities than in movies.
He said this on Monday after paying tributes to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the portrait of the Father of the Nation at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi-32 in the capital.
"I will give my 100% to the election campaign. Along with this, I want to make patriotic movies. I have already done a movie called 1971 Shei Shob Din, and I want to do more. I will be more involved in election campaigns than in movies. I have received a lot of love from the country’s people, and I hope to continue with all your love," said actor Ferdous Ahmed.
However, Ferdous is very optimistic about his election.
He said: "I hope we will win on January 7, 2024, and bring Sheikh Hasina back as prime minister once again."
