The ruling Awami League has picked superstar cricketer Shakib Al Hasan to contest 12th national parliament election from Magura-1 constituency.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement in a press briefing on Sunday.
Earlier, Shakib collected nomination forms for three constituencies from Awami League.
