Dinajpur: All sitting MPs likely to get nomination 

The ruling Awami League has nominated all the six incumbent lawmakers of Dinajpur district for the January 7 polls, sources said on Sunday.

A responsible leader of the district Awami League has confirmed that no new faces got nominations this time.

He said that although many people wanted nominations, the party's high command chose to rely on the serving MPs.

The party is set to declare the names of candidates Sunday afternoon. Earlier, the AL parliamentary nomination board finalized the candidates for 39 seats in Rajshahi and 33 constituencies in Rangpur on Thursday.

The incumbent MPs are Manoranjan Shil Gopal (Dinajpur-1), State Minister Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury (Dinajpur-2), Iqbalur Rahim (Dinajpur-3), former foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali (Dinajpur-4), Mostafizur Rahman Fizar (Dinajpur-5), and Md Shibli Sadeeq (Dinajpur-6).
