Chhatra League General Secretary and Ducsu vice presidential candidate Golam Rabbani has denied all allegations made against Chhatra League regarding attacks on opposition candidates and vote rigging.
Blaming Chhatra Dal, and Quota Reform Movement leaders, he said, "Chhatra Dal and Quota Reform Movement leaders and activists are behind all of these."
"As they were unable to create unrest and instability in the male halls, they targeted female halls to serve their interests," said Rabbani on Monday.
Earlier, voting started at 8am in 18 halls of Dhaka University for the Ducsu polls on Monday.
However, till the filing of this report, voting in another female hall, Rokeya Hall, has been suspended; it is yet to resume as many allege vote rigging occurred and ballot boxes went missing from the hall, where voting began at 9am, an hour past the scheduled time.
Meanwhile, voting was first suspended and then resumed after a three hour delay, at 11:10am, amid allegations of irregularities and vote rigging in the Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree Hall (female hall) of the university.
