Gonojagoron Moncho spokesperson Imran H Sarker has collected nomination form as an independent candidate for the upcoming general polls from Kurigram 4 constituency.
He collected the nomination form from the office of the assistant returning officer in Rajibpur upazila on Tuesday.
Imran confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: "I am participating in the upcoming general election so that I can develop Kurigram. I have received great response from the local people of Rajibpur and Roumari upazila. The locals are supporting me. I have collected nomination form as an independent candidate with blessings of the general people of Kurigram. I hope that they will elect me in the upcoming general polls and we all from Kurigram can work together to bring positive change in the area and establish people’s right.”
