The Election Commission is likely to announce the schedule for the 11th parliamentary election after meeting with President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on November 1.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda will be accompanied by four election commissioners at the meeting.
The president's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said the appointment had been scheduled for 4pm on the day.
The Election Commission amended two electoral codes at their meeting yesterday, the secretary said.
Another meeting will be held to finalize the election observers’ code of conduct, he added.
According to the first electoral code of conduct, live animals will not be allowed in election campaign, while the second code eliminates use of cloth banners. However, campaigners can use digital banners.
There is no change in the code of conduct regarding the campaign for the members of parliament (MPs).
