The first year admission test results of Barisal University for the 2014-15 academic sessions have been published on Sunday night with the pass rate of 21.25%.
The results were published around 7pm within 26 hours of the written admission test was taken.
The results are available on the university’s websites www.barisaluniv.edu.bd and www.barisaluniv.ac.bd.
In group ‘Ka’ about 1, 301 (20.23%) out of 6,431 students passed against 510 seats. while in ‘Kha’ group about 851 (14.99%) out of 5,677 students passed against 490 seats.
In against of 300 seats under ‘Ga’ group, some 1,336 students (15.87%) out of 8,417 passed the test.
Under group ‘Gha’ about 2,523 students (32.52 %) out of 7,758 passed against 235 seats.
Professor Dr Md Harun-or-Rashid, Vice Chancellor of Barisal University expressed his satisfactions about arrangements of examination and publishing the results within a shortest time.
VC said after the results disaster at Dhaka University they took special care in preparing question-papers and tried best to follow HSC standard.
Some 168 students gained required marks in the subject of English against the seat of 45, the BU VC added.
