Chittagong University (CU) authority has expelled 22 activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League from the university for different terms on Thursday afternoon.
The decision came around 5pm after a disciplinary Committee meeting, headed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Anwarul Azim Arif.
CU Proctor Siraj-ud-Dowla said: “22 BCL activists have been expelled for their involvement in eleven incidents of factional clash, attack on general students and police and journalists assault during the last six months.”
The details of the expelled students could not be known immediately.
