Over three lakh students have submitted their applications for admission into Dhaka University under the session of 2014-2015.
Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor DR AAMS Arefin Siddique made the disclosure on Sunday, reports BSS.
A total of 3,01,0138 aspirants submitted their applications through online against 6,582 seats under five units of the university this year, the VC said while closing the admission procedure at DU central admission office.
He said 81,948 admission seekers applied against 1,640 seats under 'Ka' unit, 42,417 against 2,221 seats under 'Kha' unit. 48,976 admission seekers applied against 1,170 seats under 'Ga' unit, 1,12,042 students against 1,416 seats under 'Gha' unit and 14,755 for 135 seats under 'Cha' unit.
The admission test will begin from September 5.
Admission test for 'Ka' unit will be held at 10am on September 12, 'Kha' unit on September 19, for 'Ga' unit September 5, for 'Gha' unit on September 26 and for 'Cha' unit on September 13.
The last date for submission of application forms was fixed at 2pm Sunday.
