10 Minute School wins BRAC Manthan Award

10 Minute School, an initiative of mobile phone operator Robi, has won the "BRAC Manthan Digital Innovation Award 2016" for its contribution to e-learning. State Minister of ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak handed over the award to 10 Minute School in e-learning category recently, reports BSS. The 10 Minute School, which serves education completely free of cost, has eliminated the economic and geographic barriers for access to quality education. The online school's rich video library has over 910 tutorials to serve the growing needs of its more than 168,000 students who have subscribed to it. One of the unique and most effective feature of the platform is the broadcasting of live classes using the social media platform Facebook. These live classes are organised every day at 8pm on to help students from all parts of the country get easy access to quality educational resources. Over 44,000 students are now active members of the Facebook live class group. "10 Minute School" (www.10minuteschool.com) allows students to test their exam preparation by taking quiz & model tests, helps them monitor their progress in comparison to their peers. The platform also provides study and admission information for the students which otherwise is not readily available in the internet.
