Students of different schools and colleges have staged demonstration in Chittagong city protesting the government’s move to increase the number of creative questions in Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Examinations.
Under the banner of Chittagong Chhatra Samaj, the students formed a human chain around 12:00pm in front of Chittagong Education Board in the city’s Muradpur area on Saturday, demanding cancellation of the new decision.
Previously, the students were asked to answer six creative questions containing 60 marks in two hours and ten minutes, whereas, from 2017, they would have to answer seven creative questions within two hours and twenty minutes with the new move, said Md Faisal Iqbal, a second year student of a private college.
Besides, there would be no break between creative questions part and objective questions portion in the examinations, said the demonstrating students.
Earlier, students staged demonstration in front of Chittagong Press Club on September 25 over the same issue.
