Financial competency contest at UIU

Finance Forum, a wing of Career Counselling Centre of United International University (UIU), organised  a national financial competency competition called Focus 17 at the university campus in Dhaka on Sunday, says a press release. Mohammad Nazib Intesar of Bangladesh University of Professionals won the contest with Tk30,000 prize money, Md Tanvir Ahmed of the IBA was ranked second with Tk20,000 and Md Mahfuzur Rahman of UIU came third with Tk10,000. The contest, which focused on financial statement analysis and its real-life applications, had three segments: quiz, financial statement analysis and manipulation, and financial case solving and presentation. Sandeep Sethi, finance and control director of Nestle Bangladesh Ltd, Mohiuddin Rasti Morshed, chief executive of Mind Initiative Limited, and Gulnaz Alam, HR head of IPDC Finance Ltd attended the prize giving ceremony held at the UIU.
