The 48th convocation of Dhaka University will be held on April 7, reports a press release.
The press release, signed by Director of Dhaka University Public Relation Office Ashraf Ali Khan, read the event would be held at the playing ground adjacent to the Physical Training Center of the university.
The decision came from a syndicate meeting led by DU VC Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique.
This year, Professor Rolf Heuer, Director General, European Organization for Nuclear Research, (CERN) will be the main speaker. He will be honoured with the Doctor of Science degree during the programme. Chancellor of the university also honorable President of the Republic of Bangladesh Dr Abdul Hamid is expected to preside over the ceremony.
