The ULAB Debating Club organised the 5th inter-department debate competition on November 22, inaugurated by the Pro Vice Chancellor of ULAB Professor HM Jahirul Haque. The week-long debate competition upholds the theme: “I speak, and therefore, I exist.”
Each of the ten teams representing different departments is debated with competing teams in three sessions in the preliminary round. The competition also hosted a series of workshops on parliamentary debate skills where veteran debaters with exposure to international debating conducted the workshops.
Global Coordinator of International Food Security Network, Action Aid International AFM Shahidur Rahman will attend the finale as the chief guest and distribute prizes among the winners of the competition and the participants of the workshop.
