Two subjects from the national curriculum will be included in the syllabus for English medium schools in Bangladesh from the next academic calendar.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid made the announcement at a discussion programme in the capital on Monday morning.
The move will be made to ensure that children of those schools learn more about the country, he said. Details of the implementation were not discussed.
The two subjects are “Bangla and Banlgadesh” and “Biswa Parichoy” (related to global affairs).
The minister was speaking at a programme at the International Mother Language Institute Auditorium.
