A directive has been issued to deploy 180 officials from the Directorate of Primary Education to different upazilas across the country to conduct on-site inspections, reviews, and observations of primary education activities at the field level.
This directive follows a decision made during the directorate's monthly coordination meeting in August. An office order issued on September 28 published the list of officials alongside their assigned upazilas.
The order instructed the officials to complete their on-site inspections in the designated areas and submit reports by November 5.
According to the office order, senior officials of the directorate, including the director general, additional director general, and directors, are authorised to inspect any upazila in the country.
Additionally, a list has been prepared to deploy officials and staff from various divisions to specific upazilas.
The list covers upazilas across several districts, including Joypurhat, Bogura, Naogaon, Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Natore, Sirajganj, Pabna, Kushtia, Meherpur, Chuadanga, and Jhenaidah.
As per the guidelines, officials must obtain prior permission from their respective divisional directors before leaving their duty stations.
Directors will grant permission for officials under their supervision to leave their stations for field-level inspections on a rotational basis.
The order specifies that officials from the Stipend Division must visit the Primary Education Office of their assigned upazila, as well as three government primary schools in the area, following a scheduled tour plan.
These schools are to be selected based on random sampling - one from an urban area and two from rural areas.
The concerned officials are required to stay on-site for two days to conduct the inspection, review, and observation.
Officials from other divisions of the Directorate of Primary Education are required to visit two government primary schools in their assigned upazilas.
They have been instructed to select one urban and one rural school through random sampling and to conduct the inspection, review, and observation while staying on-site for one day.
Upon completion of the inspection, a detailed report must be prepared using the prescribed format and submitted to the Stipend Division of the directorate within five working days.
