The 14th death anniversary of Dr Anwarul Abedin, founder chairman of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), will be observed on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
To mark the occasion, Dr Abedin’s family and the AIUB community will organize a Qur’an recitation, prayer and Milad Mahfil on the university campus.
The AIUB community has sought prayers from students, faculty members, officers, staff, relatives and well-wishers for the eternal peace and salvation of his departed soul.
Dr Anwarul Abedin was an educationist who played a pioneering role in the development of higher education in Bangladesh.
He founded AIUB with a vision of expanding access to quality higher education and establishing an institution of international standards.
On his death anniversary, the AIUB community will pay respect to his memory and remember his contributions to the development of higher education in Bangladesh.
