The schedule for this year's Junior Scholarship Examination for class eight students has been published, with the nationwide examination set to begin on December 8 and end on December 15.
The Dhaka Education Board published the examination schedule on its website on Sunday, saying the examinations will generally be held from 10am to 1pm.
According to the schedule, the examination will be held in Bengali on December 8, English on December 10, Mathematics on December 13, and Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies on December 15.
According to special instructions issued for the examinees, they must take their seats in the examination halls at least 30 minutes before the start of the examinations.
The examinations will be conducted according to the time specified on the question papers, it said.
Separate one hour and 30 minutes will be allocated for Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies, meaning a total of three hours will be available for the two subjects.
The examinees have been asked to collect their admit cards from their respective heads of institutions at least seven days before the examination.
They must correctly write and fill in the designated circles on the OMR answer sheets with their roll and registration numbers, subject codes and other required information. The answer sheets must not be folded under any circumstances.
The examinees will be allowed to use board-approved ordinary scientific calculators.
No person other than the centre secretary and examinees will be allowed to bring mobile phones or any electronic devices into the examination centre.
