Students who were unable to sit for the July 13, 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations due to adverse weather conditions will be allowed to take a retest, the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers' Committee announced.
An urgent notice issued on Saturday, signed by Prof Jesmin Taslima Banu, examination controller of the Dhaka Education Board and convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers' Committee, instructed eligible students to register for the retest at their respective examination centres by July 29.
According to the notice, the opportunity applies to HSC and equivalent candidates under all education boards except the Chittagong Education Board who missed the Physics first paper, Accounting first aaper, or Logic first paper examinations held on July 13 because of inclement weather.
The provision also covers students under the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board who missed the English second paper examination and those under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board who were absent from the Office Management examination for the same reason.
Examination centres have been instructed to submit the list of registered candidates to the respective education boards' examination controllers on an urgent basis by July 30.
