The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has proudly secured accreditation under the Washington Accord through the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE).
This distinguished recognition marks a significant milestone for the University, affirming the global quality and credibility of ULAB’s engineering education.
The accreditation, now officially published on the IEB-BAETE website, certifies that the CSE programme meets internationally benchmarked standards of academic rigor, curriculum design, and outcome-based education.
It reflects ULAB’s sustained commitment to excellence, innovation, and alignment with global best practices in engineering and technology.
Professor Shamsad Mortuza, PhD, Vice-Chancellor of ULAB, described the achievement as a collective accomplishment of the faculty, leadership, and students.
He emphasized that this recognition not only validates the quality of the programme but also reinforces the University’s strategic direction toward strengthening research, academic integrity, and global engagement. This accreditation stands as a moment of institutional pride, enhancing the international mobility and professional prospects of ULAB graduates, while positioning the University among a select group of institutions in Bangladesh whose engineering programmes have received this prestigious global recognition.
