The results of this year’s HSC and equivalent exam re-evaluation have been published, with 201 students achieving a new GPA-5 and 308 students passing after initially failing under the Dhaka Education Board. The results were released at 10am on Sunday.
A total of 89,671 students applied for re-evaluation under Dhaka Board. Of them, 2,331 had their results changed, while 2,373 saw changes in their grades.
Education board sources said this year saw a record number of re-evaluation applications, with 226,000 students across 11 education boards submitting requests for 428,000 answer sheets.
Dhaka Board received the highest number of applications, while Barisal Board received the lowest.
This year, 1,251,111 students from 9,197 institutions sat for the HSC and equivalent exams. Of them, 726,960 passed, resulting in a pass rate of 58.83%, while 588,701 failed (41.17%). Female students recorded a pass rate of 62.97%, compared to 54.60% for male students.
