Rajshahi Board topped this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations with the highest pass rate, while Barisal recorded the lowest, as overall results saw a significant decline.
The SSC results published on Thursday show a significant decline in the overall pass rate.
According to board-wise statistics, the average pass rate this year stands at 68.45%, compared to 83.04% in 2024.
The data reveals that Rajshahi Board recorded the highest pass rate at 77.63%, followed by Jessore Board with 73.69%, Chittagong Board with 72.07%, Sylhet Board with 68.57%, Dhaka Board with 67.51%, Dinajpur Board with 67.03%, Comilla Board with 63.60% and Mymensingh Board with 58.22%.
The lowest pass rate was reported in Barisal Board at 56.38%.
This year’s SSC and equivalent examinations commenced on April 10 and concluded on May 13.
A total of 1,928,970 candidates—including both regular and irregular students—appeared in the exams.
This marks a decrease of nearly 1,00,000 candidates compared to 2024.
The results were prepared under the "authentic assessment" policy.
