The Social Science Faculty entrance exam for the "D" unit at Jagannath University (JnU) will be held on Friday.
The exam will take place in two shifts: from 9:30am to 10:30am and from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
According to university sources, a total of 24,956 applicants have applied for the "D" unit, with 590 seats available.
This means that 42 applicants will compete for each seat.
The exam will be held for a total of 100 marks, with 24 marks allocated for multiple-choice questions and 48 marks for written tests.
Additionally, marks based on SSC and HSC GPA will be calculated, with 12 and 16 marks, respectively.
Professor Dr Sanjida Farhana, dean of the Social Science Faculty, said: “We are well-prepared for the exam, which will be held in two shifts on the university campus. A total of 24,956 candidates will appear.”
Meanwhile, candidates from the Film and Television department within the "D" unit will be required to take a practical exam worth 50 marks based on their results in the written and multiple-choice tests.
To pass the practical exam, candidates must score at least 20 marks.
The final merit list will be created based on the combined results of the written, multiple-choice, and practical exams.
