Dhaka board witnesses 79.21% pass rate in HSC results

The Dhaka Education Board witnessed a 79.21% pass rate in HSC examinations.

A total of 314,707 students, including 149,500 males and 165,207 females, appeared in the HSC exams under the board, while a total of 249,278 students successfully passed the examination, according to the HSC results published on Tuesday.

Of the successful candidates, 48,548 students—24,195 males and 24,353 females—achieved the highest grade point average of 5 (GPA-5).

The pass rates in other education boards are as follows: 93.40% in the Madrasa board, 88.09% in the Technical board, 85.39% in the Sylhet board, 81.85% in the Barishal board, 81.24% in the Rajshahi board, 77.56% in the Dinajpur board, 71.15% in the Comilla board, 70.32% in the Chittagong board, 64.29% in the Jessore board, and 63.22% in the Mymensingh board.

On average, 77.78% of the examinees passed the HSC and equivalent examinations held under the 11 education boards, with 145,911 candidates achieving GPA-5 (maximum grade point average), while the pass rate for the HSC exams in the nine general boards is 75.56%.

Out of 331,058 examinees, 310,309 students were successful in the HSC and equivalent examinations.
