Jahangirnagar University (JU) has appointed new directors to four key offices, as confirmed by Acting Registrar ABM Azizur Rahman.
According to office orders signed by Rahman, these appointments follow requests for release from their positions made by the previous directors.
The newly appointed directors are Professor Md Sohel Rana of the Department of Pharmacy as director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Professor Md Jamal Uddin of the Department of Environmental Sciences as director of the Student Welfare and Counseling Center, Professor Monowar Hossain of the Department of Zoology as director of the Wazed Miah Science Research Centre, and Professor Abu Sayed Md Mostafizur Rahman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) as acting director of the University Library until further notice.
The office order states: "The appointments would be effective from the date of joining. Additionally, the respective directors will receive the allowances and benefits of the position as per the prevailing rules."
These changes are part of the university's ongoing efforts to enhance its administrative efficiency and support for students and faculty.
